The scheduling picture has become clear, at least for the next two weeks.
Thursday, February 24 9:30 am - my port is to be...installed? Added? Upgraded? I don't know.
Monday, February 28 9:00 am - echo cardiogram
Monday, February 28 11:00 am - PET scan
Thursday, March 3 8:45 am - first round of chemo. Thank goodness! I'm ready to get started.
It is amazing what stress can do to a person. This morning, I just lost it. I figure I get a pass, but still. I need to work on my larger blog entries for therapy. There are stresses involved here that I will try to document for posterity.
Sorry for the short post, I'm a bit out of sorts today.
Don't worry though, we are still very optimistic and positive. We will beat this together.
hi mike,
ReplyDeletethis is stefan from germany, a colleague of your wife. just heard this issue a while ago and am very impressed about the way you handle this 'journey' (what a charming word for such an uncomfortable situation). :-)
my dad went away in 2003 because of liver & pancreas cancer and i still miss him that much. a family, no matter how old the children are (i´m 46 midwhile) needs her dad and a dad needs his family. you can be that proud of your wife and all of the children - and i´m sure with their and god´s help you´ll beat everything that comes its way. i will not allow you to go any other way or somewhere else - do we understand each other ?!! :-)
there will be hard times and there will be times when you will want to cry out whatever - but finally you will make it for sure. as we say in germany: 'we press our thumbs together' that everything will work fine ! thumbs up for the next 30 or 40 years .... and here we go !
greets from old europe,
stefan
p.s. say lots of greets to malena
Thank you for your post Stefan - I'll pass them along to Malena!
